Reasonable Resolutions

It's about that time...

the time to start thinking about new year's resolutions.

At times I've taken this process quite seriously.

Freshman year of high school a friend and I resolved to learn sign language. Lo and behold we signed up for real sign language lessons. There we were, the only "kids" in the class. We sat among parents learning how to sign in order to communicate with their new deaf baby. Since we were younger than other people in class we picked up on the signs with ease, no doubt frustrating others in class who had more serious reasons for learning.

When I turned 20 I made the resolution to be fluent in Spanish by the time I'm 30. I'm half way there (both in age and ability.) In fact, I'm in Spanish class every Thursday night.

So what is it going to be come January 1st? What do I need to address? Here's what I'm thinking:

1. Ban myself from the computer at least 1 day a week, likely to be Sunday.

2. Get out of bed the first time I hear the alarm go off.

3. Keep the gas in my car above a 1/4 of a tank.

4. Hmm...I can't think of any more at the moment.

What are your resolutions?
