Welcome to My Blog!
for setting up and maintaining this website. He is great! (And he does hair too!)

Second of all, I want you all to know that I am done writing 1/4 of a book.
It has taken 7 years.
Which means, it may very well take 21 more years for the book to be done. I write at slow pace, but I promise it's qual-i-tay!
If you want a copy of the first 1/4 of the book, contact me and I'll mail it to you. It will cost $10 because photocopying and having it bound at Staples is not free : )
Anyway, you know what drives me crazy? The bumber sticker, "Against Abortion? Don't have one." Yesterday I saw TWO vehicles with the same sticker! It's not common to see two vehicles with pro-abortion phrases on them in one day, so to see the same phrase...got me thinking that it should be the topic of a blog.
So let's have at it. The phrase in question is: "Against Abortion? Don't have one."
People who have this sticker must assume that abortion is like icecream. "Don't want any icecream? Don't have any!" Or maybe they think it's equivalent to how you educate your children. Don't like pubic school? Send them to private school!" The thing is, people who are pro-life understand that "to abort" means "to kill." What is being killed? A tiny human being.
In reality, the phrase is, "Against killing your children? Then don't kill your children!"
Now who would put that on their mini-van?
Or what about..."Against slavery? Then don't have a slave!"
"Against arson? Then don't set anything on fire!"
The thing is, our rights end where someone else's rights begin. Our right to "abort" gets in the way of a tiny human's right to live. I know, I know, the government doesn't recognize the in-utero baby's life, but we know that truly, inside of a pregnant woman, there is a baby (what else, but a baby, could be in there?)
The phrase, "Against abortion. Then don't have one." Fails to see that it's more than just being against abortion. Being pro-life is about upholding the dignity of every person, including the woman's dignity. Abortion not only kills an innocent child, it also is devastating to the woman.
Well, that's my thought on that. The driver's of those two cars may never know they inspired a blog-post...hopefully it's helped on some level non-the-less.
Until next time...Pax. Elizabeth
